Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping

Budgeting and grocery shopping is one of the best ways to trim down your monthly expenses and daily spending- but there are dozens of challenges out there- especially the advice that is ultimately unrealistic. Here is a list of budgeting and grocery shopping challenges and how you can make them realistic strategies to save on grocery shopping! Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping Challenge #1- Unrealistic Research I've spent a lot of time scouring Pinterest and have not felt entirely satisfied with the results. Some articles seem too unreasonable to be applicable. More often than not, it comes down to unrealistic costs of groceries . For example, I cannot find 1 gallon of milk at my local Walmart for $1. And our Dollar Tree out in Montana doesn't have a grocery section- we do have a freezer section, but it is only 2-3 doors of frozen dinners. And our bread and produce is not as cheap as the other articles. What I have done to get around this challeng

Best Homemade Stuffing!

Pork loin and fresh stuffing
This is the best homemade stuffing that I have ever had- if I may say so myself! Over the years, I have mostly stuck to Stovetop Stuffing box- mainly because it is really cheap, a very affordable side dish! However, I recently made French Bread from The Prepared Pantry and was given the opportunity to make homemade stuffing. Early last week, I made a whole chicken- which of course leads to homemade chicken broth! Why not take half the loaf of French bread and make stuffing?

One of the things I urge you to do most is to use my homemade chicken stock recipe with this stuffing recipe. Chicken stock from the grocery store tends to have a lot of preservatives and doesn't have as much nutrients and flavor as my own broth. I suspect that without using a fresh chicken stock, your stuffing won't be as rich in flavor. To learn more about making bone broth, read this article.

Final Thoughts for my Homemade Stuffing Recipe

Use the recipe from my homemade chicken broth. You have the added nutrients, umami flavor and added seasoning from when you make the chicken broth. It creates added layers of flavor. Even though I used French Bread from The Prepared Pantry, you can also make my cheap French bread recipe. The recipe is $1-2. Then your stuffing can cost you way less than $5 to make!
