Budgeting and grocery shopping is one of the best ways to trim down your monthly expenses and daily spending- but there are dozens of challenges out there- especially the advice that is ultimately unrealistic. Some articles seem too unreasonable to be applicable. More often than not, it comes down to unrealistic costs of groceries . For example, I cannot find 1 gallon of milk at my local Walmart for $1. And our Dollar Tree out in Montana doesn't have a grocery section- we do have a freezer section, but it is only 2-3 doors of frozen dinners. Another part of growing is change and self-acceptance. Change is something that is coming in your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties….. You get the picture. Change happening whether you reject it or not, but it’ll happen.

There will be some friends from high school that will drift across the country or overseas and slowly lose your number- it isn’t something that should shock you so much. Let it happen, unless they are really the friends that belong. Relationships at the college you’re attending will pass through by the semester. In some classes, you maintain contact with a select few, to study with, connect with and find common interests. And sometimes, if you’re lucky, there are some that become true friends and don’t use you only to get intel on what happened in class the day they decided to skip.


Change, regardless of your reaction, is probably the easier part. Self-acceptance on the other hand…. Well, some people find it so easily, while others- like myself- haven’t quite yet found it.
