Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping

Budgeting and grocery shopping is one of the best ways to trim down your monthly expenses and daily spending- but there are dozens of challenges out there- especially the advice that is ultimately unrealistic. Here is a list of budgeting and grocery shopping challenges and how you can make them realistic strategies to save on grocery shopping! Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping Challenge #1- Unrealistic Research I've spent a lot of time scouring Pinterest and have not felt entirely satisfied with the results. Some articles seem too unreasonable to be applicable. More often than not, it comes down to unrealistic costs of groceries . For example, I cannot find 1 gallon of milk at my local Walmart for $1. And our Dollar Tree out in Montana doesn't have a grocery section- we do have a freezer section, but it is only 2-3 doors of frozen dinners. About Me

Hi there!

I'm Kat Johnson: blogger, dog-mom, and writer. The Tiny Twenty-Something blog was started in 2015 as a way to help those in their 20s navigate adulting. I went from not knowing how to manage my bank account and cooked terrible food for my husband, to being able to share more and more (actually) wonderful recipes!

I live in Kalispell, Montana with my husband Kyler and our dog, Violet.

I love telling stories! I'm a freelance writer for my own writing business, have 2 (3+) blogs and I am a Content Coordinator for a micro-targeted magazine in Whitefish, MT. I love creative nonfiction, fantasy fiction and magazine writing. I serve on The Board of Directors for The Montana Woman Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps women throughout the entire state of Montana with educational resources.

The Tiny Twenty-Something covers a few topics related to cooking and budgeting: meal planning, budgeting for any diet (but specifically low carb), and affordable recipes that are healthy for everyone. And lifestyle blog articles like using your budget to fit travel into your lives, improving your health habits and more.

What might be most important about this blog is that most of my latest content is actually on www.thetinytwentysomething.blog  but because this blog still experiences traffic, I have decided to update it on a semi-regular basis.

Signup for weekly updates from my primary blog! I share recipes for tight budgets and low carb budgets, my travelings tips, beauty products and more!

Meal Planning & Budgeting

Meal planning is essential to any grocery budget and I have a several recipes that are for both low carb and not so low carb lifestyles. Throughout this blog, there are also great freebies that should help you figure out how to meal plan and meal plan without breaking the bank!
