Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping

Budgeting and grocery shopping is one of the best ways to trim down your monthly expenses and daily spending- but there are dozens of challenges out there- especially the advice that is ultimately unrealistic. Here is a list of budgeting and grocery shopping challenges and how you can make them realistic strategies to save on grocery shopping! Challenges about Budgeting and Grocery Shopping Challenge #1- Unrealistic Research I've spent a lot of time scouring Pinterest and have not felt entirely satisfied with the results. Some articles seem too unreasonable to be applicable. More often than not, it comes down to unrealistic costs of groceries . For example, I cannot find 1 gallon of milk at my local Walmart for $1. And our Dollar Tree out in Montana doesn't have a grocery section- we do have a freezer section, but it is only 2-3 doors of frozen dinners. And our bread and produce is not as cheap as the other articles. What I have done to get around this challeng

Delicious Pizza Night

Review of The Prepared Pantry Classic Italian Pizza Dough

On October 19, 2020, I made my very first order from The Prepared Pantry, a company based in Idaho that sells bread mixes, kitchen and baking tools, and many other products. Items in this order included Seriously Fudgey Brownie Mix (a perfect dessert for a holiday party), 2 orders of Sunday Dinner Rolls (which I plan to make for Thanksgiving at my moms house!), Farmhouse Honey Wheat Bread, the Classic Italian Pizza Crust, and French Bread.

In this blog post, I am including a review of the mix, an amended version of the recipe, a step-by-step through instructions and images, and the recipe itself. You can Jump to Recipe anytime if you wish.

My ultimate review of this pizza mix: It's really awesome! The Classic Italian Pizza Crust is $3.99, which significantly reduces the cost of a pizza night compared to buying from Costco, Domino's or Pizza Hut...I would totally buy this again! It was easy to make once I worked out how to adapt the recipe for a kitchen mixer and took notes. The crust was super soft after I added an additional 2 TBS to the mix- which wasn't the end of the world since I needed to add flour to the mixer bowl. The images on the bag and instructions (which were inside the bag) made the pizza crust look a little plain, so I whipped up a seasoning blend so that the crust would have a little extra something like the crusts do at Domino's. šŸ˜œ

Then I sifted through their products to put together a small but relevant order. Read full disclosure here.
